Other services

Despite our title we don't just work with mammals, and if you need an ecological survey, we can probably help. From butterfly and moth assessments to breeding bird and over-wintering bird surveys, our staff have a wide skills base, enabling us to help you.

We can also help with other mammal species and our ecologists have been intimately involved with projects on red squirrels (Sciurus vulgaris), and methods of control for grey squirrels which have been largely responsible for the loss of our native red. From small mammal surveys to advice on large mammals, and even exotic species such as wild boar and beaver, if we can't help we will ensure that we get you the best advice that can be obtained.

Many species are today protected in United Kingdom and European law and we have a long held background of surveying for a variety of species or groups of species. Typical examples are barn surveys for bats and barn owls and other nesting birds. Or dormice and nesting birds in hedgerows. Indeed many of our clients come to us because we can survey for a variety of species at the same time, saving on the need to bring in different experts from a variety of ecological backgrounds.

We regularly undertake botanical surveys for our clients, from higher plants to fungi. We are also happy to undertake survey work for marsh fritillary butterflies and other species as well as sensitive habitats. In addition, we undertake Building Research Establishment Environmental Audits (BREEAM) 2018 Assessments.

Our team are well versed in carrying out supervision of construction projects where particular wildlife expertise is needed and our Ecological Clerk of Works services are used by a number of our clients.

It doesn't matter how big or indeed small the project or how complex in nature we will be able to help. We can undertake surveys of confined spaces as all our staff have had the necessary training and hold the required certificates to survey underground and similar sites. So, if you need answers with respect to any wildlife issues we can help you, just give us a call.
